HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform Manager user guide (AG781-96017, March 2009)

DescriptionProperty
The vendor of the HBA.Vendor
The status of the HBA. Possible values:
Present—For VSM server hosts, this indicates that the host is polling to the VSM
server through this HBA, as expected. For other hosts, this indicates that the
DPMs recognize this HBA on the fabric and that the HBA is active.
Failed— For a VSM server host, this means that the HBA is recognized on the
fabric but the host is not polling through the HBA to the VSM server. Therefore,
the host and the VSM server are not communicating through this HBA. For
other hosts, this means that the DPMs that expose this HBA to the VSM server
have failed.
Absent—This indicates that the HBA is no longer visible on the fabric. For VSM
server hosts, this status is reported by the VSM server that detects that the HBA
is no longer connected. For other hosts, this status is reported to the VSM
server by DPMs. The cause could be zoning configuration, the absence of a
cable, or the absence of the HBA.
Status
The type of connections over which the VSM servers of the local SVSP domain
recognize the HBA. Possible values:
FC—The HBA is recognized by VSM servers of the local SVSP domain only
over Fibre Channel connections.
Mixed—The HBA is recognized by VSM servers of the local SVSP domain over
both iSCSI and Fibre Channel connections.
Local—The HBA is local to a VSM server which is the sole VSM server of the
local SVSP domain.
