Modification Time
The user who last modified the DPM entity. If the modification was the addition of
an HBA, this is the system user, since the addition is performed automatically when
the VSM server detects when a new HBA is installed.

Viewing DPM information
You can display detailed information related to each DPM in the tabs area below the DPMs list.
To view information related to a DPM:
In the DPMs list, select a DPM. The following tabs are displayed in the tabs area below the DPMs list:
Properties—Provides the same general information about the selected DPM as described in Table
69.
Back End HBA—Displays the back-end HBAs on the selected DPM. The back-end HBAs are the
DPM ports that communicate with VSM servers and can access the storage systems.
Front End HBA—Displays the host HBAs that are connected to the selected DPM.
Virtual Disk—Displays the virtual disks, snapshots, virtual disk groups, and VDG snapshots that
are presented to hosts by the selected DPM.
Personalities—Displays the SCSI personalities supported by the selected DPM.
Security—Displays the access permissions of users and user groups for the selected DPM.
Disabled Operations—Shows which operations you cannot currently perform on the selected DPM
and the reason for each. See the release notes for a current list of disabled operations.
These tabs are described in the following sections.
DPM information—Back-End HBA tab
The Back End HBA tab displays the back-end HBAs on the selected DPM. The back-end HBAs are the
DPM ports that communicate with VSM servers and access the storage systems. The VSM server detects
the DPM through its back-end HBAs.
