HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform Manager user guide (AG781-96017, March 2009)

DescriptionProperty
The status of the group. Possible values:
Normal—All tasks in the group are progressing normally.
Suspended—All tasks in the group are suspended. In this case, the mirror stops
the creation of new standard PiTs because they cannot be copied anywhere.
Failed— All tasks in the group have failed.
Degraded—Tasks in the group have different statuses, of which at least one is
failed.
Detaching—The group is in the process of detaching. Detaching a group stops
the mirroring but retains any existing virtual disks and PiTs on the source and
destinations.
Deleting—The group is in the process of being deleted. All the tasks and their
corresponding virtual disks are in the process of being deleted.
Split—The group is in the process of splitting. Splitting a group deletes the
group but does not delete the source and destination virtual disks or their PiTs.
Split, unlike detach, is only enabled under certain conditions, which ensure
that the split results in identical virtual disks on the source and on the destina-
tions.
Merge—A virtual disk is being merged and the group is being built as part of
the merge. For information about merging, see “Merging an async mirror
group” on page 277.
Status
The VSM server on the local domain that is handling the group’s tasks. If the group
has cross-domain tasks, there is a VSM server on each domain handling the task.
Active Data Mover
The mode of VSM server selection. Possible values:
Any node—VSM selects the VSM server for the group’s tasks from among the
VSM servers enabled for data moving tasks on the domain.
Suggested node—The group creator configured a default VSM server for
handling the group’s tasks. (The actual active VSM server may not be the
suggested VSM server.)
Data Mover Mode
A free text display field. To modify the text that appears here, right-click the inform-
ation row and select Manage > Edit Comment. You can use this field for any pur-
pose.
Comment
The number of PiTs of the source element maintained on the source domain. This
includes standard PiTs and user PiTs.
Source required PiT
The minimum time between the creation of standard PiTs on the source element.
Minimum Time Between
PiT Creation
Yes indicates that standard PiTs on the source element are created automatically
by the mirror. No indicates that standard PiTs are not created on the source ele-
ment. If the value is No, destination virtual disks are only updated if a user creates
a user PiT.
Create Standard PiTs
The VSM server that the group creator configured as the default VSM server for
handling the group’s tasks. This value is empty if the Data Mover mode is Any
node.
