Async mirror group information—Async Mirror Task tab
The Async Mirror Task tab displays the tasks running on the selected async mirror group.
Table 109 Async mirror group Async Mirror Task tab field
DescriptionProperty
The row number.No
The name of the task.Name
The status of the task. Possible values:
Init—The task is in the initial stage in which the destination virtual disk is cre-
ated.
Normal—The task is progressing normally. New PiTs that are created on the
group source element are copied to the task destination. The oldest PiTs are
deleted according to the number of PiTs that need to be maintained.
Failed— Indicates that the task encountered a problem. The problem may be
failure to create the destination virtual disk, failure to create a PiT on the source
virtual disk or a failure in writing to the destination.
Suspended—A user suspended the task. The VSM servers stop copying data
to the task’s destination. The task can be resumed from the point at which it
was suspended.
Detaching—The task is in the process of detaching. Detaching a task stops the
mirroring but retains any existing virtual disk and PiTs on the source and des-
tination. Detaching the last task in a group causes the group to be deleted.
Deleting—The task is in the process of being deleted. The destination virtual
disk of the task is deleted.
Split—The group to which the task belongs is in the process of splitting. For
information about splitting groups, see “Splitting async mirror
groups” on page 276.
Merge—A virtual disk is being merged and the task is being initialized as part
of the merge. For information about the merge operation, see “Merging an
async mirror group” on page 277.
Status
The destination domain of the task.Domain
The name of the group on which the task operates.Group Name
The name of the task's destination virtual disk.Destination
Indicates the percentage progress of one of the following, when relevant:
Normalizing the initial virtual disk on the destination, until the initial build is
complete.
Copying a PiT to the destination.
Progress
The number of source elements in the group. If the source element is a virtual disk
or snapshot, this value is 1. If the source element is a VDG, this value is the number
of virtual disks and/or snapshots contained in the VDG. This field indicates at a
glance if a task is mirroring multiple destination virtual disks.
