Exporting permissions from entities to new permission templates
You can create new permission templates by exporting existing permissions from entities.
To export permissions from an entity to a new permission template:
1. Do one of the following:
Right-click an entity and select Security.
Select an entity and click in the toolbar.
The Security dialog box appears.
2. Click Export permission to template. The “Create Template with current object permissions
wizard opens to the Create template screen.
3. In the Permission template name field, enter a name for the new permission template.
4. Click Next. A confirmation screen appears.
5. Click Finish. The new permission template is created with permissions from the selected entity.
Modifying permission templates
You can modify the permissions included in a permission template the same way you modify the
permissions associated with any entity:
To specify security permissions for permission templates, see

To add users or user groups to permission templates, see
Adding users or user groups to entities” on page 338.
To remove users or user groups from permission templates, see
Removing users or user groups from entities” on page 340.
Deleting permission templates
To delete a permission template:
1. Right-click a permission template.
2. Select Delete. A confirmation screen appears.
3. Click Finish. The permission template is deleted.
