Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
Read this entire document and any other Release Notes you may have before you begin
an installation.
NOTE: All nodes must be on the same distribution, including errata level and
architecture version. Using different distribution versions within the same cluster is
supported only during rolling upgrade. Servers using processors from Intel and AMD
can be mixed in a cluster. For supported rolling upgrade paths see “Rolling Software
Upgrades” (page 49). For information about supported Serviceguard versions, Linux
distributions, related software, and hardware, see the documents listed under “What
Documents are Available for This Version (page 30).
Memory Requirements
Serviceguard needs approximately 15.5MB of lockable memory on each cluster node.
Required Linux Network Drivers
The minimum versions for network drivers supported by HP Serviceguard are provided
with the base OS. Updated versions of all network drivers are available in the PSP
(ProLiant Support Pack). These drivers are tested and approved.

Port Requirements
Serviceguard uses the ports listed below. Before installing, be sure no other program
uses these ports.
