Announcements
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle on Linux enables you to configure an Oracle single instance
in a Serviceguard cluster on Linux (SG/LX) and integrate an Oracle database server with SG/LX.
What is new in this version
This release of HP Serviceguard toolkit for Oracle includes support for the following enhancements:
Database backup mode.
Alert mail notification.
Online modification of toolkit package parameters.
Oracle toolkit on MetroCluster and ContinentalCluster.
Support for legacy packages
You can use the legacy method to still create new toolkit packages in the A.05.01.01 toolkit
version. However, HP recommends that you to use the modular method to create new toolkit
packages whenever possible. The legacy style toolkit package does not support the following new
enhancements:
Online modification of toolkit attribute values.
Alert mail notification.
IMPORTANT: Legacy packages will be obsolete from the next major version of Serviceguard.
