SR Number Problem and Resolution
8606400216
(JAGaf60172) Problem: Toolkit does not work with Oracle10g. Until
Oracle10g, the recommended configuration was to put
all Oracle files (including executables) on shared
storage to be managed in a package by SG. However,
this does not work with new daemons introduced with
Oracle10g. With Oracle10g, if the DB fails on the
primary node, SG is unable to unmount volume groups
because 10g daemons are running from the file system
on the shared storage.
Resolution: Put Oracle executables on local
storage only, and put the data files on shared
storage. Configuration files may be put on either local
or shared storage. The README file, which is included
with the toolkit, has been updated to reflect the
supported configuration.
8606380507
(JAGaf40741) Problem: haoracle.mon defect causes the oracle
package to go down intermittently. haoracle.mon is
incorrectly comparing the number of processes from
the ‘ps’ command to its number of processes
maintained internally.
Resolution: Modifications have been made to
haoracle.mon correct this problem.
8606383718
(JAGaf43909) Problem: Oracle toolkit monitors the wrong processes
when multiple instances are running.
Resolution: Modifications have been made to
haoracle.sh and haoracle.mon to correct this
problem.
