This variable specifies the user name of the EDB PPAS
administrator. The online modification of this attribute is not
supported.
DB_USER
For example: DB_USER ppas
Specify the email address to which you want the alert
notifications to be sent.
email_id
NOTE: By default, the email_id is commented. You must
remove the comment and provide the required email id to
receive the alert notifications.
This attribute specifies the monitor interval.MONITOR_INTERVAL
This is time interval in seconds, the monitoring script waits
between checks to make sure that EDB PPAS is running. The
default value is 30 seconds.
Specify the volume groups used by the EDB PPAS database
instance.
vg
Specify the logical volume on which the file system is created.fs_name
For example: /dev/vgdata/vol1
Specify the mount point location for the EDB PPAS data directory.fs_directory
For example: /ppas
It is a type of the filesystem.fs_type
For example: ext3
Assign these attributes when the package is configured to
failover to another node. Also, when the package fails over
ip_address and ip_subnet
from one node to another node, client traffic IP must be moved
to the new node. Both the values must be defined in the
package.
5. Verify the validity of the EDB PPAS toolkit package configuration using the cmcheckconf
command.
For example:
cmcheckconf -P ppas_pkg.conf

6. If the cmcheckconf command does not report any errors, then run the cmapplyconf
command to add the package to the Serviceguard environment.
For example:
cmapplyconf -P ppas_pkg.conf
Run the cmviewcl command to verify the applied package.
NOTE: By default, the package switching is disabled.
7. Run the cmmodpkg command to enable the package switching.
This enables the EDB PPAS package to failover to the adaptive node after it fails on the primary
node.
