Using SAMBA Toolkit in a ServiceGuard for Linux (SG/LX) Cluster Version A.01.00
Chapter 1 5
To support multiple SAMBA logic instances on SG/LX environment, the
toolkit user needs to configure a common-used base configuration and
several sub-configuration files. Each sub-configuration file contains
configuration data only for a particular SAMBA package. Every time a
SAMBA package is started, the SAMBA toolkit uses the base
configuration and the package specific sub configuration file to make a
single target configuration file. This target configuration will be used to
start or restart the smbd and nmbd. In this way, the running SAMBA
server provides service for multiple logic instances.
After SAMBA has been installed, the name of default configuration file
is smb.conf under the /etc/samba directory. Primarily, this
directory contains all configuration files (including SAMBA user and
password files) for running a SAMBA server.
