Pidentd Setup
To complete the installation of the pidentd service issue the following
commands.
For SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9:
# /sbin/insserv identd
# /etc/init.d/identd start
You may need to run YAST or YAST2 to ensure that identd starts at boot.
For Red Hat:
# /sbin/chkconfig --level 35 identd on
# /etc/init.d/identd start
Installing Quorum Server
If you choose to use a Quorum Server and not a Lock LUN for
tie-breaking, the Quorum Server software must be installed on a system
outside the cluster. The Quorum Server software is supplied on the
separate HP Serviceguard Distributed Components CD. This CD
includes versions for HP-UX and Linux operating systems. Updated
versions may be available from
http://www.hp.com/go/softwaredepot. Click on
high availability to
locate the latest version.
Refer to the Quorum Server Version A.02.00 Release Notes fourth Edition
on the Distributed Components CD for a complete description of the
Linux installation process. There is more information on using Quorum
Server in Managing HP Serviceguard for Linux.
