Rebooting SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 removes
files in the /var/run/cmcluster directory
What is the problem? When rebooting a SLES9 system a cleanup
script is run that purges files in the /var/run/cmcluster directory.
Overall this is not an issue; however, if cmcld were to abort a core file
is placed in /var/run/cmcluster and the system performs a TOC.
Since files in /var/run/cmcluster are purged the core file would be
removed at this point thus not allowing any further analysis.
What is the workaround? Edit the file /etc/rc.d/boot.localnet
and find the following line:
'find /var/run /var/lock -type f -print0 |xargs -0 -r rm
-f 2>/dev/null'.
Remove /var/run.
