— Heartbeat cable. The heartbeat (crossover) cable is intended for
use only in a two-node cluster that requires an additional
heartbeat connection. It provides a direct connection between the
two servers.
The two CDs are:
• HP Serviceguard for Linux CD: This CD contains:
— Serviceguard for Linux version A.11.16.07 for:
— Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 AS or ES
— Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 AS or ES
— SUSE SLES9
— Serviceguard for Linux version A.11.16.08 for SUSE SLES10.
• Distributed Components CD: This CD contains Quorum Server
and Serviceguard Manager software, and documentation.
Complete product documentation is provided on the two CDs.
Serviceguard for Linux version A.11.16 on HP ProLiant Servers and
Serviceguard for Linux on HP Integrity Servers can be used with Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 3 AS or ES, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 AS or ES,
and SUSE SLES9 and SLES10.
Since clusters are complex configurations, you may want to use
Hewlett-Packard’s high availability consulting services to ensure a
smooth installation and rollout. Please contact your HP representative to
inquire about high availability consulting. In addition, you should work
with your HP representative to ensure that you have the correct
firmware revisions for disk drives, disk controllers, LAN controllers, and
other hardware.
