HP Serviceguard for Linux Version A.11.19 Release Notes, October 2009
NOTE: As of the date of these Release Notes, there is no support for the
WBEMProvider on SLES 11. If you need this functionality, email SGLXhelp@hp.com
to get the latest status.
New Features for A.11.19.01 (July 2009 Patches)
To the existing support for Red Hat 5 and SUSE SLES 10, Serviceguard A.11.19.01 adds
support for SUSE SLES 11.
In addition, Serviceguard A.11.19.01 provides the following new capabilities on all
three platforms. On Red Hat 5 and SUSE SLES 10, these capabilities require the patches
listed under “July 2009 Patches” (page 9).
• Improved support for IPv6, including support for IPv6–only hosts.
See “New Support for IPv6” (page 16).
• Improved support for online package maintenance.
See “Package Maintenance Mode” (page 19).
• Support for VLANs.
See “VLAN Configurations” (page 20).
• New -K option for cmgetconf.
This causes cmgetconf to skip probing of volume groups, allowing the command
to complete faster; the resulting cluster configuration file will not contain a list of
cluster-aware volume groups. See cmgetconf (1m) for more information.
• Improved support for nested mount points.
Serviceguard now ensures that a package will never attempt to mount a nested
directory concurrently with the parent, no matter what
concurrent_mount_and_umount_operations is set to. (In earlier releases, this could
happen if concurrent_mount_and_umount_operations was set to a value greater than
1.)
New Features for October 2009 Patches
Serviceguard A.11.19.01, with the patches listed under “October 2009 Patches” (page 10),
provides new capabilities in Serviceguard Manager; see “New Serviceguard Manager
Features for October 2009 Patches” (page 26).
