HP Serviceguard Toolkit for NFS on Linux User Guide (May 2013)

Table 3 Modular NFS Package (continued)
DescriptionAttributes
NOTE: HP recommends that you specify the fsid for
the directory on the file system that must be exported.
This ensures that permanent device minor number is
retained during the failover to the adoptive node.
This parameter specifies whether the rpc.rquotad
daemon needs to be started and monitored. If this
QUOTA_MON
parameter is set to YES, the toolkit starts rpc.rquotad
(if not already running) and monitors the daemon. If this
is set to NO, the toolkit neither starts nor monitors
therpc.rquotad.
The rpc.rquotad daemon is supported in NFSv2 and
NFSv3 protocol. The NFSv4 protocol does not use
rquotad daemon.
NFS toolkit supports online modification of this attribute
with the following conditions. During the creation of
package, if you set QUOTA_MON attribute to No, the
package does not start the rpc.rquotad daemon. If
you try to perform online modification of QUOTA_MON
attribute from No to Yes when the package is running,
then the package fails over to the adoptive node. In
order to avoid this failover, you can start the
rpc.rquotad daemon before performing the online
modification of the QUOTA_MON attribute from no” to
yes. If you modify the QUOTA_MON attribute from “yes
to no during online modification, the monitoring of
therpc.rquotad daemon is stopped.
NOTE: To configure the NFSv4 server package, set
this parameter to NO.
This directory serves as the virtual root directory of the
NFSv4 protocol. If you configure this parameter, then
the NFS package is configured to use NFSv4 protocol.
NFSv4_VIRTUAL_ROOT
All NFS export directories specified for this package
will be bound with virtual root directory and will be
exported.
For example: NFSv4_VIRTUAL_ROOT /exports
This variable specifies whether Serviceguard NFS
package requires file lock migration or not. To enable
LOCK_MIGRATION
the file lock migration support, set this variable to YES.
The default value is NO.
This directory defines the holding directory in a disk
volume associated with the NFS package. This directory
NFS_FLM_HOLDING_DIR
holds the copies of the files from the /var/lib/nfs/
statd/sm directory and migrates with the NFS
package during a failover.
The contents of this directory populates the /var/lib/
nfs/statd/sm directory when recovering from a
failover event. For NFSv4 server package,
NFS_FLM_HOLDING_DIR holds the copies of the files
from /var/lib/nfs/v4recovery directory and
migrates with the NFSv4 package during failover.
Select a directory in a shared file system that is a part
of the NFS package. For example, /export/sm set
for NFSv2/NFSv3 package, NFS_FLM_HOLDING_DIR.
For NFSv4 package, NFS_FLM_HOLDING_DIR is set
to /export/v4recovery, where /export/sm or
