HP Serviceguard Toolkit for SAP Sybase ASE and SAP Sybase Replication Server for Linux Release Notes (May 2013)

Installation
To install the Sybase toolkit, run the following command:
For RHEL:
nl
rpm -ivh serviceguard-sybase-toolkit-A.01.00.00-00.redhat.noarch.rpm
For SLES:
nl
rpm -ivh serviceguard-sybase-toolkit-A.01.00.00-00.sles11.noarch.rpm
The Sybase toolkit files are installed in the following directories:
$SGCONF/modules/tkit/sybase/
nl
$SGROOT/sybasetoolkit/
To verify the installation of the Sybase toolkit, run the following command:
# rpm qa serviceguard-sybase-toolkit
nl
The command displays the following output:
serviceguard-sybase-toolkit-A.01.00.00-00

When a package starts up this script
starts the Sybase Replication Server
and launches the monitor services.
When a package halts this script stops
the Sybase Replication Server and the
monitor services.
This script contains functions to monitor
the health and existence of Sybase
Replication Server processes.
hars.mon
By default, the following processes are
monitored:
repserver
dbsrv12
These process names are mentioned in
the MONITOR_PROCESS package
parameter.
To include and monitor other required
process, update the MONITOR_PROCESS
package parameter.
