HP Serviceguard Toolkit for SAP Sybase ASE and SAP Sybase Replication Server for Linux User Guide Version A.12.00.00

Table 6 Sybase RS package attributes (continued)
DescriptionAttribute
This attribute defines the Linux user name of the Sybase RS administrator to start, stop, and
verify health check of Replication Server using /bin/su command.
ADMIN_NAME
This attribute cannot be modified online.
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/ADMIN_NAME sybaseadmin
This attribute specifies the login name of a Sybase RS user to connect to the Replication Server
instance through an Open Client server's TDS protocol.
USER_NAME
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/USER_NAME rsadmin
This attribute defines the Replication Server's listener port number. The value of this attribute
must be the valid non reserved port number, which is configured for Sybase RS.
LISTENER_PORT
This attribute cannot be modified online.
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/LISTENER_PORT 4904
A Replication Server command to perform a health check of the RS instance. This is the admin
command of Open Client server, executed through an interactive sql. command. To perform
a health check, run the admin health command.
HEALTHCHK_CMD
NOTE: You must configure appropriate command to perform the health check.
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/HEALTHCHK_CMD admin health
This attribute defines the amount of time, in seconds, to wait for a graceful completion of an
event, like stop of processes.
TIME_OUT
The TIME_OUT variable has no effect on package failover times.
The default value is 30 seconds.
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/TIME_OUT 10
This is an expected output word of the command (provided through the HEALTHCHK_CMD)
for verifying health of A RS instance. This word is matched from output of the command, for
example, admin health executed through Interactive SQL prompt.
HEALTHCHK_RESULT
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/HEALTHCHK_RESULT HEALTHY
This attribute defines the full path and name of a file for storing Replication Server user
password. The first line of the file contains the RS user password. This password is used to
connect to RS instance through isql/Open Client server TDS protocol.
PASSWD_FILE
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/PASSWD_FILE /sybase/SRS_REP/RS-passwd.file
This attribute defines the Sybase RS instance name for the Replication Server, which uniquely
identifies a Sybase RS instance. You must set this attribute appropriately to start or stop the
RS instance.
INSTANCE_NAME
This attribute cannot be modified online.
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/INSTANCE_NAME SRS_REP_primary
This attribute defines the full path to the script and script name to start a Sybase RS instance.
You must set this attribute appropriately to start the RS instance.
RUNSCRIPT
For example:
tkit/sybase/rs/RUNSCRIPT /sybase/SRS_REP/RUN_SRS_REP
This is the list of all the critical Sybase RS processes for the instance that must be running and
to be monitored to ensure that the user is notified or a package is failed over to an adaptive
