Requirements
In addition to the instructions provided below see Using the Oracle
Toolkit in a Serviceguard for Linux (SG/LX) Cluster Revision: A.02.00
White paper (includes README file information) for more detailed
installing and configuring instructions.
IMPORTANT You cannot use the Serviceguard for Linux Oracle Toolkit without the
Oracle product. The database server programs must be installed on your
Linux system before you install, configure, and test your database
package.
Installing Serviceguard for Linux Oracle Toolkit
1. Before you start, use the following steps to remove any previous
version of this product:
To query the rpm database:
# rpm -qa |grep oracle-toolkit
If any part of the Serviceguard for Linux Oracle Toolkit is installed,
erase it using:
# rpm -e oracle-toolkit-<release>
2. To install the Serviceguard for Linux Oracle Toolkit in the RedHat
and SuSE environments use the following commands:
In a RedHat environment to install the toolkit fileset, use the rpm
command:
# rpm -i oracle-toolkit-A.02.00-0.product.redhat.i386.rpm
The files will be installed in
/usr/local/cmcluster/oracletoolkit
In a SLES 8/UL 1.0 environment to install the toolkit fileset, use the
rpm command:
# rpm -i oracle-toolkit-A.02.00-0.product.suse.i386.rpm
