What’s in this Version
The Serviceguard Oracle Toolkit for Linux provides high availability for
an Oracle database server application. The A.04.00 version of
Serviceguard for Linux Oracle Toolkit contains the following:
• Support for MODULAR and LEGACY packages
• Support for Listener Monitoring
• Support for Oracle 9i, and 10g R1 and 10g R2
• Support for Oracle 11gR1
• Support for all servers that are supported by Serviceguard for Linux.
(Refer to Table 1-1 for the supported Serviceguard version and Linux
Distribution).
• Enhancement to facilitate quicker database service registration with
the listener by starting listener before database.
• Fix to support password protected listener monitoring.
• Fix to configure PFILE value in haoracle.conf.
NOTE At the time of publication, Oracle 11g R1 is supported only on x86-64
platforms.
One shell script (the Oracle 9i and 10g and 11g R1 DB toolkit
configuration file) is provided as a template, which can be customized for
your specific needs. After the shell scripts are installed they are located
in the following location:
RedHat Distributions: /usr/local/cmcluster/oracletoolkit
SLES Distributions: /opt/cmcluster/oracletoolkit
