1 HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle on Linux A.05.01.00 Release Notes Announcements The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle on Linux enables you to configure an Oracle single instance in a Serviceguard cluster on Linux (SG/LX) and integrate an Oracle database server with SG/LX. The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle on Linux: Annual Release, June 2012 is available for download at: http://software.hp.
The files are installed in the following directories: 4. • ${SGCONF}/oracletoolkit • ${SGCONF}/scripts/tkit/oracle • ${SGCONF}/modules/tkit/oracle If you have copied the toolkit scripts from ${SGCONF}/oracletoolkit directory to a different directory and the files are used by the package, then copy these new scripts again after the RPM is installed from the ${SGCONF}/oracletoolkit directory to that different directory.

This ${SGCONF}/oracletoolkit script contains a list of pre-defined variables that you must customize for use with a particular database instance. This configuration file is read by the toolkit script, haoracle.sh. haoracle.

The hadbhang.mon script in turn uses hagetdbstatus.sh and hatimeoutdbhang.sh scripts. hagetdbstatus.sh This script is used to check the database status. hatimeoutdbhang.sh This script checks whether a process with the specified PID exists. If the process exists, then it kills the process and exits.
