1 Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy A.01.00 Release Notes Announcements Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy is an Hewlett-Packard high availability product that integrates Metrocluster with HP 3PAR Storage Systems. Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy Version A.01.
cluster configuration along with the Metrocluster and Site Controller packages that are configured. This feature requires Serviceguard A.11.20 April 2011 patch PHSS_41628 or later. It works only on Serviceguard version A.11.20, and is available only on HP-UX 11i v3. For more information on the validations that are performed, see Building Disaster Recovery Serviceguard Solutions Using Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy available at http:// www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs.
Support for 3PAR features Support for Synchronous Replication mode Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy version A.01.00 includes support for synchronous replication mode. HP 3PAR Remote Copy software offers synchronous and asynchronous periodic data transfer mode between the storage systems. Synchronous data transfers offer the highest levels of data availability. With synchronous operations, both the primary and secondary copies are identical and concurrent at all times.
Support for Metrocluster features Support for failover policies site_preferred and site_preferred_manual Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy supports both site_preferred and site_preferred_manual Serviceguard failover policies. These failover policies can be used for failover packages configured in a Metrocluster, only when sites are defined in the Serviceguard cluster configuration file.
Support for Continentalclusters Support for HP 3PAR Remote Copy replication in Continentalclusters HP 3PAR Remote Copy replication is supported in Continentalclusters from Continentalclusters A.08.00 August 2011 patches (PHSS_42142 on 11i v2 and PHSS_42143 on 11i v3) or later, and Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy A.01.00. Fixes for A.01.00 in the March 2013 Patch Release • QXCR1001259829 When the Remote Copy volume group is configured with asynchronous periodic mode, and if the RESYNC_WAIT_TIMEOUT parameter is configured, then during the package startup Metrocluster must synchronize the non-current data. Currently, Metrocluster does not synchronize the data, and allows the package to startup with non-current data even if the RESYNC_WAIT_TIMEOUT parameter is configured.
Software availability in native languages Metrocluster with 3PAR Remote Copy and related documents are not available in native language versions.
