the same nodes. This is done by editing the rc script /etc/rc.config.d/raidmgr. Set the
START_RAIDMGR parameter to 1, and define RAIDMGR_INSTANCE as the number of the Raid
Manager instances being used. By default, this is zero (0).
Following is an example of the edited configuration file for XP Raid Manager instance. In this
example, the instance number zero (0) is the local array RAID Manager instance and the instance
number 1 is the remote array RAID Manager instance.

Configuring a remote array RAID Manager instance
In a Metrocluster configuration, the remote array RAID Manager instance must be configured in
the following manner:
1. The XP array at each site must have a command device exclusively for the nodes in the other
site.
2. As shown in Figure 31 (page 171), on all nodes in each site, a new RAID Manager instance
must be configured to manage the remote P9000 or XP array, which is the remote array RAID
Manager. The RAID Manager instance that manages the local array is referred to as the local
array RAID Manager.
