10. Verify that each node in the Serviceguard cluster has the following files in the directory
/etc/cmcluster/<package_name>:
<package_name>.cntl Seviceguard package control script
<package_name>_caeva.env Metrocluster Continuous Access EVA environment file
<package_name>.config Serviceguard package ASCII configuration file
<package_name>.sh Package monitor shell script, if applicable
other files Any other scripts used to manage Serviceguard
packages
11. Check the configuration using the cmcheckconf -P <package_name>.config, then
apply the Serviceguard configuration using the cmapplyconf -P
<package_name>.config command or SAM.
The Serviceguard cluster is ready to automatically switch packages to nodes in remote data centers
using Metrocluster Continuous Access EVA.
Configuring Modular Packages
With HP Serviceguard A.11.18 and above, Modular packages can be created using building
blocks that consist of only those functions that are required for the package. This new modular
method of creating packages provides the following benefits:
All package parameters are now configured in one place - the package configuration file.
Separate package control files need not be created and distributed in the cluster.
Modular Metrocluster packages can be created using Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA
A.04.00 and above. Legacy Metrocluster packages can also be migrated to Modular packages.

Configuring Modular Packages using Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA A.04.00
Following are the steps to configure a modular package with Metrocluster with Continuous Access
EVA.
1. Run the following command to create a Metrocluster Continuous Access EVA modular package
configuration file:
# cmmakepkg m dts/mccaeva temp.config
In this command, dts/mccaeva is the Metrocluster Continuous Access EVA module that
needs to be included to create a Metrocluster Continuous Access EVA package configuration
file.
By default, the Metrocluster Continuous Access EVA module includes only the Serviceguard
volume group module. If modules other than the Serviceguard modules need to be included,
