HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite A.04.00 Release Notes

NOTE: From HP-UX 11iv3, VxVM disks can be configured to use HP-UX native multipathing
instead of the default Veritas DMP (Dymanic Multipathing) by declaring such disks as foreign
devices in VxVM. These foreign devices bypass DMP, allowing HP-UX native multipathing to have
full control on the disks with respect to multipathing and load balancing. However, CVM disks that
are sharable VxVM disks must be configured to use DMP. Moreover, on a system with CVM
installed, it is not supported to configure even local VxVM disks to bypass DMP.
NOTE: The following HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite product bundles, which were
available in the SG SMS Version A.03.01 release, were discontinued and removed from the price
list for the SG SMS Version A.04.00 release:

• T2773xx
• T2775xx
• T8685xx
• T8686xx
• T8695xx
• T8696xx
Support for these product bundles will continue. To get the exact dates for the end of the patch
phase and the end of support, refer to the 10/10 HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite
