Supported Operating Systems
Within a cluster, all nodes must use the same operating system version. Run SF 5.0 for
Oracle RAC on these operating systems at the suggested patch levels.
• HP-UX 11i v2 (If necessary, upgrade the operating system to this version or a later
version)
•HP-UX 11i v3
• For each platform, Symantec recommends applying the latest HP-UX operating
system patches available from HP.
Supported HP-UX Operating Environments
HP-UX 11i Operating Environments (OEs) are bundles of key applications available to
users to help them install a complete operating system in a single-pass process.
Symantec supports SGeRAC for HP-UX on the following OEs:
Identifying the Operating Environment
To identify the OE currently installed
• Run the swlist | grep HPUX command to identify the OE currently installed on
your system.
The output of this command includes a line that identifies the installed OE.
For example:
# swlist | grep HPUX
