Navigating SMU
The following table describes how to navigate SMU pages.
While navigating SMU pages:
Do not use the Tab key. Because SMU requires frequent visible and invisible data
refreshes, using the Tab key can cause unpredictable behavior.
When you use your browsers Back button, the last page viewed is displayed, but
its content is not updated to show current data. If you use the Back button,
manually refresh the page to get current data.
Do not try to perform commands on multiple items (such as virtual disks and disk
drives) by holding down the Shift key while clicking them with the mouse. In
many cases, this will cause a new browser window and an error message to
display.

Select a menu item Click the menu item in the menu on the left side of
each page. When you click some menu items, the
menu changes to display different submenus.
This book uses the following convention to
indicate the steps in navigating to a function:
Select Menu > Submenu > Function
View more information Click a virtual disk or volume icon or click blue or
red text.
View the most current status
information on the current page
Click your browsers Refresh or Reload button.
