HP Storage Essentials SRM Enterprise Edition 6.0 Application Integration Software for SAP ACC version A.02.01 Release Notes (August 2008)

Page 8
Resolution:
When users add or remove devices from existing volume groups, they will have to delete the storage
resource from the SAP ACC Integration configuration and add the storage resource back ensuring that all
physical devices are included in the configuration. This should be performed while the volume groups are
active (attached) on a Managed Node in the configuration.
EVA - Long Response Time after HP SE Restart
Issue:
It is possible to experience very long response times if SAP ACC operations are attempted immediately
after the restart of the HP Storage Essentials service. This is caused by the updating process of the SAL
cache in the EVA Command view and the fact that HP Storage Essentials waits for this process to
complete.
Resolution:
Wait at least 30 minutes after restarting HP Storage Essentials before attempting any SAP ACC
operations for EVA arrays.
Integration Software - Application Log Parameters
Issue:
The Application log lists only the first 100 log events for the selected filter criteria.
Resolution:
You must adjust the filter criteria to see additional events.
Integration Software - Case Sensitive Passwords
Issue:
During the installation of the SAP ACC Integration Software, a password is specified for both HP Storage
Essentials SRM and HP System Insight Manager. The domain, user name, and password are all
case-sensitive. Thus, the capitalization must match the values defined within HP Storage Essentials SRM. If
these do not match, errors may occur, particularly during provisioning operations.
Resolution:
The correct capitalization for user names can be found in HP Storage Essentials by selecting Users from
the Security menu in the upper-right corner.
Integration Software - Setting HP Storage Essentials Authentication
Issue:
When changing the username and password using the fields shown in the "HP Storage Essentials
authentication setting" section of the "Program Properties" tab, the user is allowed to enter any
username. However, if the username specified does not match an existent username recognized by HP
Storage Essentials SRM, all following operations requiring HP Storage Essentials SRM support (for
example, add and remove storage resources) will fail. Note that the standard username recognized by
HP Storage Essentials SRM must follow the <domain>\<username> format.
