About the Topology Tab for Microsoft Exchange
The Topology tab provides a graphical representation of your storage network.
Left pane - Provides a path view of the Microsoft Exchange database. When you select an
element in the left pane, its location is shown in the right pane.
Right pane - Provides a logical diagram of the storage network. From the Topology tab, you
can determine the location of a device on the network. For example, let's assume you want to
find out which storage group contains the mailbox store. You could use the Topology tab to
obtain this information.
From the Topology tab, you can obtain information about the host, storage volume, a Microsoft
Exchange storage group, or a Microsoft Exchange store by double-clicking its icon in the topology.
