You can find the identifier for the master server through the
appiqlist -backup -masterserver -all command.
appiqshow -backup -mediaserver <ID>
Description: Provides a detailed description of the media server.
You can find the identifier for the media server through the
appiqlist -backup -masterserver <ID> -mediaserver command.
appiqshow -backup -mediaserver <ID> -tapelibrary
Description: Provides detailed description of all the tape libraries connected to the media server.
You can find the identifier for the media server through the
appiqlist -backup -masterserver <ID> -mediaserver command.
Discovery
Use the following CLI commands to perform discovery, obtain the topology and Get Details from
elements:
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -topology [-sync]” on page 18
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -details -backup” on page 18
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -details -all” on page 18
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -details -stop” on page 18
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -refresh -host <host id>” on page 19

appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -topology [-sync]
Description: This command obtains the topology. It assumes you have already performed a
discovery. The [-sync] flag is optional. If you specify the –sync flag, the command will be in
synchronous mode, meaning the management server will not accept new commands until it is done
with obtaining the topology.
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -details -backup
Description: This command collects only backup data during Get Details.
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -details -all
Description: This command collects infrastructure and backup data during Get Details.
appiqdiscover -domaindiscovery -details -stop
Description: This command stops the collection of infrastructure and backup data during Get
Details.
