Storage Essentials 5.1 User Guide 77
2. Discover the standby CV EVA host in Step 1 discovery from HP Storage Essentials.
3. Perform Get Details/Discovery Data Collection from HP Storage Essentials.
If you are using Command View EVA 6.x, and you have active and standby Command View EVA
proxy machines, you can discover both the managed array and the unmanaged array. If only the
unmanaged array is discovered, just the top level array information is collected. This will be
signified by a status of “managed_by_other_agent” for the array.
If both the managed and unmanaged array are discovered, they need to stay in the same discovery
group. They can be moved to other discovery groups, but they must be moved at the same time.
When discovering the arrays separately, the array that has already been discovered must be in the
Default discovery group.
