Discovery from HP SE - Click Tools > Storage Essentials > Home. Then, click Discovery
> Details in the upper-right corner. Click Get Details.
Step 11 - Run the Virtual Application Restoration Script
The virtual application restoration script restores the virtual applications on the hosts the
management server has discovered:
1. Go to the %MGR_DIST%\install\upgrade directory.
2. Run the VirtualAppUpgradePost.pl script, as shown in the follow example:
perl VirtualAppUpgradePost.pl
The full path to Perl is the following:
%MGR_DIST%
\JBossandJetty\server\appiq\remoteScripts\perl\bin\perl
3. Restart the service for the management server, which is AppStorManager.
4. Clear the cache for your Web browser. Refer to online help for your Web browser for more
information on how to clear the cache.
Step 12 - Re-add Remote Sites in Global Reporter
All sites that provide global reports must be upgraded to this version of the management server.
Install this version of the management server on all remote sites, then complete the following steps
for each management server that is using Global Reporter.
1. You must modify the listener.ora file at each remote site, as described in the following steps. For
example, assume you have three remote sites. You must log onto each of these remote sites and
modify the listener.ora file at each remote site, as described in the following steps:
a. Log onto the remote site.
b. Stop the service for the management server running.
c. Stop the listener service for Oracle (OracleOraHome92TNSListener).
d. Open the following file in a text editor on the computer:
%ORA_HOME%\network\admin\listener.ora
e. After
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521)), add the
following line:
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.168.10.1)(PORT = 1521))
where 192.168.10.1 is the IP address of the local host server. Replace 192.168.10.1 with
the IP address of your local host.
