NOTE: If you using a new installation of the Oracle 10g client, you will need to create the
tnsnames.ora file. The file can be created using any text editor.
2. Update the file by adding the following to the end:

NOTE: The tnsnames.ora file is format sensitive, so the parenthesis must be aligned
correctly to work properly.
3. Restart the Web Intelligence Report Server service. This service can be accessed from the Central
Configuration Manager. Launch the Central Configuration Manager by selecting Program Files
> BusinessObjects XI Release 2 > BusinessObjects Enterprise > Central Configuration Manager.
