details – provide descriptive data about a dimension.
For example: [Age] is a detail associated with the [Customer] dimension.
measures – Retrieves numeric data that is the result of calculations on data in the
database.
For example: [Sales Revenue] is the calculation of the number of units sold multiplied
by the unit price.
Sorting dimensions and details helps you organize results chronologically, while sorting
measures helps you see highest or lowest results at a glance.
To apply an ascending or descending sort to a table or section
1. Right-click the table column/row or section cell you want to sort, and then on the
contextual menu, click
Sort > Descending or Sort > Ascending.
Or
Click the table column/row or section cell you want to sort, and then click the
Ascending or Descending sort button on the Report toolbar.
To display the
Report toolbar, right-click the main toolbar above the report, and then
click
Report on the contextual menu.

Web Intelligence applies the ascending or descending order to the results on the table
or section, as you specified.
To apply a custom sort
1. Right-click the table column/row or section cell you want to sort, and then on the
contextual menu, click
Sort > Custom Sort.
