Note:

If you have changed the default port (6331) used by the SMRVI server,

specify the port as well. Enter the IP address and port in the Server field,

using one of the following formats:

IPv4Address:Port

[IPv6Address]:Port

hostname:Port

2. In the User name field, enter the user name for the account that will access the

SMRVI server.

3. In the Password field, enter the password that is associated with the user name.

4. If you want Storage Mirroring Recover for Virtual Infrastructure to remember the

selecting this box, Storage Mirroring Recover for Virtual Infrastructure will

remember the credentials for logging in to the SMRVI server. The logon

information is cached and encrypted, so you will not need to enter this information

again at subsequent logons.

5. When you have finished entering the login information, click Connect.

Storage Mirroring Recover for Virtual Infrastructure will verify the credentials that you

have entered for the SMRVI server. If any of the information entered is invalid or if the

server refuses a connection, a warning message will appear.

Note:

When logging into the Storage Mirroring Recover for Virtual

Infrastructureservice from the console, you must use an account within the

admin group from the Storage Mirroring Recover for Virtual Infrastructure

service machine.

Logging off the SMRVI server

Logging off clears the current credentials so that you will be prompted to enter

credentials on your next logon.

To log off the server, click the Disconnect button in the left pane. A box that identifies

the server that you are currently logged in to will appear. If you click Disconnect,

Storage Mirroring Recover for Virtual Infrastructure will remove all cached credentials,

restart, and prompt for a new connection.

Managing activation codes

To enter an additional SMRVI activation code, select Go, Manage activation codes.

The Manage activation codes window will appear.
