Note:
You can also verify target data viability from a command line interface.
The TDV.exe utility is available from the Application Manager folder in the
directory where you installed Storage Mirroring Recover. For more
information about using the target data verification command line utility,
see Using the Target Data Verification (TDV) utility.
If you deselect a SQL instance when configuring SQL in the Application
Manager when running the TDV utility for SQL from the command line, all
of the named instances on the target will be listed, including the one that
was deselected.
If the TDV utility for SQL is run from a command line while the Application
Manager interface is already open, the interface may become
unresponsive. To work around this, re-start the Application Manager
interface.
When running the TDV utility for SQL from the command line, any status
other than “Online” or “Offline” will be reported as Unknown”.
You can verify the target stores at any time following the successful completion of a
mirror. When you select Actions, Verify Target Data, the Database Verification window
will appear.
1. The Status area displays the overall status of the database verification. Click on
the status description for more information.
2. Click the Options button to change the services and scripts that are used during
the target data verification. The Options dialog box will appear.
