1. In the Monitoring interval field, enter the interval (in number of seconds) at which
you want Storage Mirroring Console to poll the servers for updated information.
2. In the Default port (for XML web services protocol) field, enter the port number
Storage Mirroring Console will use when sending requests to the servers. The
default is 80.
3. In the Default port (for legacy protocol) field, enter the port number Storage
Mirroring Console will use when sending requests to the servers that are running
versions of Storge Mirroring prior to 5.2. The default is 1105.
4. When you are finished, click Save to save your changes and return to the Home
page.
Sharing the server configuration file
If you have not done so already, launch the Storage Mirroring Console.
You can share the Storage Mirroring Console configuration between different
installations of Storage Mirroring Console.
1. To save a configuration for use by the same user on another machine, select File,
Export.
2. When the Windows Save As dialog box appears, browse to where you want to
save the file, then enter a name for the .xml file.
3. Click Save.
4. The configuration file will be saved as a Storage Mirroring Console XML file.
Launching other Storge Mirroring utilities
If you have not done so already, launch the Storage Mirroring Console.
Depending on which utilities you have installed and licensed, you may be able to
access them from Storage Mirroring Console. You can open other utilities from the Tools
menu.
Tools, Replication Console—Launch the Replication Console.
Tools, Storage Mirroring Recover Failover Control Center—Launch the
Storage Mirroring Recover Failover Control Center console.
Tools, Storage Mirroring Recover Application Manager—Launch the Storage
Mirroring Recover Application Manager console.
Tools, Storage Mirroring Recover Full-Server Failover Manager—Launch the
Storage Mirroring Recover Full-Server Failover Manager console.
Tools, Storage Mirroring Recover Virtual Recovery Assistant—Launch the
Storage Mirroring Recover Virtual Recovery Assistant for ESX console.
