4 X Clients
Clients
Storage Mirroring has multiple GUI clients that can manage, monitor, and control different aspects and features of Storage
Mirroring. The clients include the Management Console, Failover Control Center, and Recovery Manager. Each client can be
started from the Windows
Start menu. You can also launch the Failover Control Center and the Recovery Manager from the
Tools menu in the Management Console.
Management Console
From the Management Console, you can manage, monitor, and control your Storage Mirroring connections. The Management
Console is a two pane view. The views in the panes change depending on what is highlighted. For example, when the root of
the tree in the left pane is selected, all of the machines in your environment running Storage Mirroring are displayed in the
right pane. If you expand the tree in the left pane and select a server, any connections for that server are displayed in the
right pane.
NOTE: Storage Mirroring also has a command line language which can be run from a command prompt or from the
Storage Mirroring Text Client. For more information, see the Scripting Guide.
NOTE: You may not have access to some of the components or see certain display options if you are using a newer
version of the Management Console to control an older version of your source or target.
