Recovery Manager
If you are using the Server Recovery Option add-on, the Recovery Manager allows you to manage the recovery process for
a full server protection connection. The Recovery Manager displays choices for performing the recovery and an interactive
window at the bottom to display the validation, configuration, and processing information.
Saving and reusing configuration options
You can reduce the amount of time and effort to set up and recover multiple servers by saving and reusing your recovery
settings. Set your recovery options as defined in
Recovering an entire server on page 6-3 and Configuring optional settings on
page 6-6. Once you have the settings the way you want them, save them by selecting
File, Defaults, Save Current Settings
as Defaults
. This creates a file called RMDefaults.xml, which will automatically be the default settings the next time you use
the Recovery Manager. If desired, you can rename the
RMDefaults.xml file and then save a new set of defaults to
RMDefaults.xml to be used by the Recovery Manager. This would allow you to have multiple recovery configurations, which
can be more easily interchanged. You can also use these different configuration files to initiate recoveries without using the
Recovery Manager GUI. For more information, see
Running Server Recovery Option from a command line on page 6-9.
If you want to reset the configuration settings back to the default settings, select
File, Defaults, Reset Defaults.
