Always back up the current configuration before enabling or disabling Access Gateway mode. Enabling
Access Gateway mode clears the security and zone databases. Disabling Access Gateway mode clears
the F_Port to N_Port mapping.
Backing up the switch configuration
If the switch was configured as a fabric switch, save the configuration before setting up the switch in
Access Gateway mode.
To back up a configuration file using Web Tools
1. Launch the Switch Admin module.
2. Click the Configure tab.
3. Click the Upload/Download subtab.
4. Click the Config Upload to Host radio button.
5. Type the host IP, user name, file name, and password.
6. Type the configuration file with a fully qualified path.
7. Select a protocol to use to transfer the file.
8. Click Apply.
You can monitor the progress by looking at the Upload/Download progress bar on the
Configure tab.
To upload a configuration file using the CLI
1. Verify that the FTP service is running on the host computer.
2. Connect to the switch and log in.
3. Enter the configUpload command. The command becomes interactive and you are prompted for
the required information.
