Fabric OS v6.4.3f Release Notes v1.0 Page 130 of 149
Defect ID: DEFECT000313466
Technical Severity: Medium
Summary: SCSI command frames are dropped through IFL links in FCR Fabric.
Symptom: If a Brocade switch performs an HA Failover at the same time as an device is continuously
issuing a PLOGI to an unknown port, switch may drop SCSI command frames across IFL
connections after hafailover. SCSI data frames pass through. This does not happen with
normal device plogin to devices already in name server database and this affects 8G FCR
only.
Workaround: To avoid the problem configuring EX_Port and device doing PLOGI to unknown device in
the same ASIC chip or remove such device from fabric.
Feature: 8G ASIC Driver
Function: C2 ASIC driver
Probability: Low
Found in Release: FOS6.3.1
Service Request ID: 425953
Where Else Fixed: FOS6.4.1, FOS6.3.2 a
Defect ID: DEFECT000313557
Technical Severity: Medium
Summary: Fabric watch blade handler monitor is not handling AP blades status properly, causing
invalid status to be reported in switchstatusshow
Symptom: The output of the switchstatusshow command does not show "marginal" switch status
when an AP blade goes down.
Feature: 4G Platform Services
Function: FOS Kernel Drivers
Probability: Low
Found in Release: FOS6.3.1
Where Else Fixed: FOS6.4.1
Defect ID: DEFECT000315227
Technical Severity: Medium
Summary: FCIP Tunnel bounces when running a large number of small FCIP frames through a WAN
optimizer.
Symptom: FCIP tunnel will periodically go down and then recover when a large number of small FCIP
frames are run through a network with WAN Optimizers present and the FCIP Tunnel is in
byte streaming mode.
Feature: Legacy FCIP (7500/FR4-18i)
Function: FCP TCP/IP Stack
Probability: Low
Found in Release: FOS6.4.0
Where Else Fixed: FOS6.4.1
