Description

Fabric OS 5.2.1b contains enhancements and ﬁxes since the release of Fabric OS 5.2.0b. These Release

Notes add su

pport for a new HP StorageWorks platform (the 4/32B SAN Switch), and for the iSCSI

Director Blade (FC4-16IP).

Update recommendations

HP strongly recommends that users upgrade to Fabric OS 5.2.1b as soon as possible. Install Fabric OS

5. 2.1b before installing the latest released port and intelligent blades.

Consider the following before upgrading:

• If upgrading from Fabric OS 5.1.x, install Fabric OS 5.2.1b before installing the latest port

and intelligent blades in the 4/256 Director.

• If upgrading from Fabric OS 5.1.x with switches running 2.6.x in the fabric, upgrading to 5.2.1b

is not suppor ted unless 2. 6.x switches are separated by a router.
