HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Administrator Guide (T3680-96069, June 2012)

2. Open the following file:
{HP Replication Solutions Manager install}
\JBoss\server\default\data\xmbean-attrs\hp.storage@3Aservice@3DReplicationServerService.xml.
a. Locate the following line:
<attribute name="HalDestinationPort"
type="java.lang.Integer">852</attribute>
b. Replace 852 with the same port number you entered for the SERVER_PORT.
3. If the host agent is running, shut it down and restart it.
IMPORTANT: You must change the host agent port on all hosts managed by this HP P6000
Replication Solutions Manager server to match this host agent port number.
Changing the RMI port
By default, remote method invocation (RMI) uses port 5510 on the management server. If port
5510 is in use, you must select an available port and configure the management server to use that
port. To do this, you must edit two files:
1. Open the following file:
{HP replication solutions manager Install
directory}\RSM\JBoss\server\default\deploy\rsm-client.war\serverconfig.xml
2. Locate portbase rmiport and replace 5510 with the desired port number.
3. Save and close the file.
4. Restart the HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Server service to restart the management
server.
Changing the database port
The port number (1315) for communication with the replication manager database is set by default
and does not typically change. Change the database port only if the default conflicts with other
applications on the management server. Administrators can specify the database port as follows:
1. Select ToolsConfigure.
2. In the navigation pane, select Database.
3. Select Access.
4. Enter the desired port number for database communications.
5. Click OK to apply the setting and close the Configuration window, or click Apply to apply
the setting and leave the window open.
Default ports
The replication manager uses management server ports for Java and other remote communications.
Table 1 (page 24) lists the default ports. Typically, the default ports cannot be changed; however,
exceptions are described in this chapter. If the default ports conflict with other applications in your
configuration, contact HP Services for assistance. You can use a system tool, such as netstat,
to determine the applications that are using the ports.
