In Figure 1, the EVA is physically connected to the production server on which the original
database resides. It is also connected to the test or development server on which the clone
will reside. The Oracle data files on LUN1 (L1), Redo log files on LUN2 (L2), and Control
files on LUN3 (L3) are cloned from the production server.
