filesystems and continue with the shutdown. This change reduces the
amount of time required to stop Matrix Server.
Matrix Server includes an audit feature that can be used to log
administrative commands in the matrix log. This feature can now be
disabled if necessary. For more information, see the PolyServe
Administration Guide.
•The psfsinfo command has a new option, --blocksize, that prints only
the blocksize used by the filesystem.
Matrix Server no longer uses the old aliases interface but instead uses
the
NETLINK facility to configure virtual hosts as secondary addresses.
As a result, ipconfig(8) should no longer be used to query for Matrix
Server virtual hosts. Instead, use ip(8) for the queries. For example, ip
addr show displays the virtual hosts.
The release also includes fixes for the following problems:
Defect 13885. “Host not found” errors generated by mxconfig were
logged as
SEVERE in the UI log. Such errors are now logged as
WARN ING s.
Defect 13950. A Java exception sometimes occurred on the
Management Console when the user clicked an empty Applications
cell on the Alert pane.
Defect 15065. perfservice crashed because of incorrect reference
counting on aggregate objects.
Defect 15074. Support was needed for HP CommandView EVA/SSSU
6.0.
Defect 15076. mxcollect prompted for FC switch information.
Defect 15137. When subdevices were reordered on the Create Volume
window, a subdevice could move out of view.
Defect 15265. Concurrent NFS operations from multiple clients could
become deadlocked.
Defect 15303. A usage message was not displayed when the mx
snapshot command was entered incorrectly. Also, a confusing error
