Supported HBA drivers
The Host Bus Adapter vendors frequently release HBA drivers for Linux. HP has chosen
to narrow the number of versions that it will validate with HP Scalable NAS. Other
drivers will work, but may not produce optimal results during failure or failover
situations.
HP will continue to evaluate newer drivers with HP Scalable NAS as they become
available from the vendors. Check the compatibility matrix on the HP web site for
the supported HBA driver versions before upgrading to a newer driver from your
HBA vendor.
NOTE:
QLogic and Emulex cards should not be placed in the same fabric zone unless both
HBA manufacturers have approved this configuration.
Server requirements
NOTE:
To ensure that file times are consistent across the cluster, it is important that all cluster
servers operate with synchronized time-of-day clocks. An NTP server is one commonly
used mechanism for synchronizing system clocks.
