3.7.0 HP StorageWorks HP Scalable NAS File Serving Software installation guide HP Scalable NAS for Linux (AG513-96004, October 2009)

10. Install FS Option for Linux
Install the FS Option for Linux support RPM from the product CD or the location where
you have downloaded the software.
# rpm -i <mountpoint>/mxfs-<os>-support-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm
Install FS Option for Linux from the product CD or the location where you have
downloaded the software.
# rpm -i <mountpoint>/mxfs-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm
When FS Option for Linux is installed, it copies the existing /etc/exports file to
/etc/exports.pre_mxfs and then writes over the original file. You can later
convert the copied file into an Export Group.
11. Install other software (optional)
Performance Dashboard. This RPM includes the HP Scalable NAS Performance
Dashboard application.
# rpm -i <mountpoint>/mxsperfmon-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm
Quota tools. This RPM includes several Linux quota commands that have been modified
to work on PSFS filesystems. You can use the modified commands in place of the
commands provided with the Linux distribution. If you want to use the modified
commands, install the quota tools RPM on each server that will be in the cluster.
# rpm -i <mountpoint>/pmxs-quota-tools-3.13-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm
Samba support. This RPM includes scripts that can be used to configure
high-availability support for Samba.
# rpm -i <mountpoint>/mxfs-cifs-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm
12. Specify an HBA driver if necessary
HP Scalable NAS includes several versions of the HBA drivers for the supported Fibre
Channel host bus adapters. For each host bus adapter, HP Scalable NAS designates
one of these versions as the default. If your system configuration requires a different
driver version (either a version included with HP Scalable NAS or a version from
another source), you can install that driver version in place of the HP Scalable NAS
default version.
