NOTE:
When selecting partitions for use as membership partitions, be sure that they do not
contain any needed data. When the membership partitions are created, any existing
data will be erased.
Snapshot configuration. HP Scalable NAS provides support for taking hardware
snapshots of PSFS filesystems. (The filesystems must be located on storage arrays
supported for snapshots.) If you want to use this capability, you will need to configure
the snapshot method.
NOTE:
Snapshots are supported on HP MSA2000, EVA, and XP storage arrays and on
Engenio storage arrays. The appropriate HP or Engenio software must be installed
as described under 18. Install hardware snapshot software (optional), page 32.
To configure the snapshot method, click Add in the Snapshot Configuration section
of the window, select the appropriate configuration module, and then supply the
configuration information.
If you are using an HP EVA array, you will be asked for the hostname and
authentication information for the management appliance. This corresponds to the
login for the sssu tool and is not the same as the login for the host running the
management software.
