1 Configuration information
HP is continually expanding its supported hardware and operating system
configurations. Check the compatibility matrix on www.hp.com for the latest

Cluster software requirements
The operating system and HP Scalable NAS software must be installed consistently
across the servers in the cluster. When configuring your servers, you should be aware
of the following requirements:
All servers must be running versions of the operating system and kernel that are
supported by HP Scalable NAS.
The servers in the cluster can be running different supported versions of the same
operating system type as long as the above rule is met.
HP Scalable NAS must be installed on all nodes in the cluster. If FS Option for
Linux is used, it must also be installed on all nodes.
