This chapter describes the commands in the HP Replication Solutions Manager Command Line User

Interface.

ADD CONTAINER

Synopsis

a[dd] cont[ainer] <container name>

|[disk_g[roup]|dg=<disk group name>]}

Description

Use the ADD CONTAINER command to create an empty virtual disk container that cannot be presented

to a host. A container virtual disk can be used as preallocated storage space within which to create a

fully allocated snapshot.

Switches

container name Speciﬁes the name of the container virtual disk.

size Speciﬁes the container size in GB.

disk_group Speciﬁes the container's disk g roup. The disk group can be speciﬁed

in UNC form or as the name found on the selected array.

VRaid_level Speciﬁes the container's VRaid level. The default is VRAID0.

Vdisk Speciﬁes the container's virtual disk. The resulting c ontainer has

identical size, RAID, and storag e pool attributes.
