10. Enter the domain and group names for the storage administrators group, if not already created,
and then click Next.
NOTE: When entering names, note the following:
Use the shortened DNS format for the domain name. For example, enter americas, not
americas.mycompany.com.
Valid characters for names are A–Z, a–z, 0–9, and -(hyphen).
Invalid characters for names are \ / [ ] : ; | = + , * ? < >.
The maximum length of the domain name is 63 characters.
The maximum length of the domain group name is 255 characters.
11. Enter the domain and group names for the user group, if not already created, and then click
Next.
12. If security accounts have already been created, click Next.
13. If administrator and user groups are added, the installation wizard displays a message that
users must be added to the groups before you log in. Click Next.
14. The installer displays the default database port number.
15. Click Check Port Availability.
The replication manager checks availability of port 1315.
If Use this default Port number 1315 is selected, click Next.
If the port is not available, select Use this port instead, enter an alternate port number,
and then click Next.
NOTE: If you are installing HP SMI-S, and if the default ports that HP SMI-S uses to start the
CIMOM service are not available, the 5988 & 5989 ports are not available dialog
box opens and prompts you to enter two available ports. Enter port numbers in the range
60000 to 65536, and then continue with the installation.
16. Repeat Step 15 if necessary.
The pre-installation summary window opens.
17. Verify the details of the installation, and then click Install.
18. Wait for the installation to finish.
When the installation is complete, the post-installation summary window opens.
19. Click Finish.
NOTE: If HP P6000 Command View is installed before the replication manager, the replication
manager installer does not display authentication or local group dialogs. The HP Storage Admins
and HP Storage Users groups will have been created during the HP P6000 Command View
installation.
Obtaining the license key
The replication manager requires that you obtain a license key (also referred to as a password).
HP recommends that you obtain your license key online from HP Webware. For more information,
see the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array License Key Installation Instructions. See “Related
information (page 24) for the document location.
You must also have licenses for thin provisioning and DC-Management.
